LOOK UP (2014)

Filmmaker Gary Turk approached me to design the poster for his short film ‘Look Up’ (2014); a spoken word film for an online generation.

Gary wanted the poster to be contemporary and minimal, and convey the film’s central message of social isolation caused by the overuse of electronic devices. It features the protagonist as he appears in the film; consumed by his phone, oblivious to his surroundings, fading into a world where he is heard but not seen.

‘Look Up’ has gone on to become the most viewed spoken word video on the internet, and currently has 62 million views on YouTube alone. It won Best Viral Film at Cannes Media & TV Awards, and two Webby Awards for Best Viral Film and Best Individual Performance.
